We work in partnership with government, investors and developers to find innovative ways of growing our portfolio so that we can change more lives for the better. We keep our properties in top condition to improve our resident’s wellbeing and reduce our environmental impact.

Our Homes

We own and manage more than 3,600 homes across Sydney, one of the most expensive housing markets in the world.

We added 102 homes to our portfolio in 2022-23. We bought 42 units in the inner city, which we refurbished before leasing as social and affordable housing. Purchasing existing properties is a way of fast-tracking homes for people in need.

Working with government and the private sector we delivered 36 brand new homes. Building new homes means we can prioritise environmental and community outcomes through the design and construction processes.

‘For Aboriginal women to have a housing block for only Aboriginal women, is just so amazing – it would have to be one of the first of its kind I have ever heard of, and Bridge Housing did that!

Bridge Housing listened to us Aboriginal women when we kept advocating on the importance of having a block of apartments, just for Aboriginal women.’

Our Repairs and Maintenance Teams work closely with our head contractor Asset Group Services to make sure our homes are kept to a high standard. We are proactive in upgrading and maintaining our homes before things go wrong. This helps to keep our residents happy and healthy and means we can better manage our budgets in the long run so we can invest in more homes.

Shifting the dial

Through innovative partnerships we are finding new ways to deliver social and affordable homes to people in need.

  • Redefining Property Development

Elizabeth Street Redfern is destined to be a blueprint for future inner-city social and affordable developments. In a NSW sector first, we are the first community housing provider to be appointed lead developer for a large-scale Government redevelopment.

In partnership with Capella Capital, this $230 million people-focused precinct will provide over 300 homes, breathing life into a site that has been vacant for more than a decade.

Our focus is on delivering more social and affordable homes for our community.

  • Bridging the Housing Gap in Western Sydney

Modern multi-story apartments with balconies and landscaped gardens

Demand for affordable housing in Western Sydney has never been higher. More than 18,000 or 10% of households in the Parramatta region are in rental stress, paying more than they can afford in rent.

We partnered with the NSW Government to deliver 35 quality new apartments in South Granville and another 58 still under construction in Westmead. With solar panels, a community garden and energy efficient fittings, these apartments have been designed with people and the environment at the heart.

“My new home means a second chance at life and a solid foundation to adapt to living with numerous health concerns and mental health issues.” Resident.
